Wendy’s and Burger King Have Beef, and More: Last Call

You got through the first day of the week. Monday is basically over, so it’s pretty much Tuesday and Tuesday is almost Wednesday, which is hump day, which means you’re at least halfway through the week. Pretty much, the week is almost over. Here are a few things you need to know before you head out for the day:

Eater:

It’s Burger King Vs. Wendy’s in the latest Twitter food feud. Burger King has (correctly) tweeted that their $4 for 5 items special is better than the $4 for 4 items deal at Wendy’s. Wendy’s responded that unlike Burger King’s, their food is edible.

Grub Street:

Restaurants took a hit on Saturday, and in some cases Sunday because of the blizzard. How bad was it for business? Really, really bad.

Vice Munchies:

Not the foie gras! Anything but the foie gras! Food snobs, we’ve got bad news: bird flu may cause a foie gras shortage.
