BREAKING: Paul Pelosi Attacker David DePape Found Guilty For Assault, Attempted Kidnapping
A federal jury reached a verdict on Thursday to find David DePape guilty on federal charges for breaking into former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) home and attacking her husband.
DePape, a 43-year old far-right conspiracy theorist, stood trial for and was found guilty of assault and attempted kidnapping this week for hospitalizing Paul Pelosi a year ago when he broke into the couple’s San Francisco residence and attacked Mr. Pelosi with a hammer.
DePape also faces a state charges of attempted murder over his plot to abduct the former Speaker and hold her in threatening captivity.
DePape faces up to 50 years in prison, and life in prison if convicted on the attempted murder charge. As the verdict came down, Pelosi’s office released a statement to express their gratitude for Paul’s recovery and the well-wishes their family has recieved.
