BREAKING: Robert Redford Dead at 89

Hollywood icon Robert Redford has died at age 89 — The New York Times has reported, citing a statement from his publicity firm Rogers & Cowan PMK
According to publicist Cindi Berger, the legendary actor died in his sleep at his home in Utah Tuesday morning. No cause of death was given.
Redford’s filmography is one of the most storied in Hollywood history. He starred in a host of classic films, including; Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Natural, The Candidate, All the President’s Men, The Sting, The Way We Were, The Great Gatsby, and many more.
He went on to become an acclaimed director — winning the Academy Award for Best Director in 1980 for Ordinary People. He also directed Quiz Show, The Horse Whisperer, The Legend of Bagger Vance, and other renowned films.
A champion of independent films, Redford established the Sundance Film Festival in 1984 — which has become a haven for indie fare each winter in Sundance, UT.
He is survived by his wife, Sibylle Szaggars Redford, two children, and seven grandchildren.
