CNN’s Van Jones Loses It Over Viral Clip of Trump ‘Fellating a Microphone’ — Does Double Take At Scott Jennings’ Spin

CNN’s Van Jones lost it over a clip of former President Donald Trump over the weekend — which he said depicted Trump “fellating a microphone.”

In a panel discussion on CNN’s NewsNight Sunday, Jones reacted after Abby Phillip showed the footage of Trump — which she called “obscene.” Jones cracked up over the clip and suggested it showed Trump may not actually want to win the election.

“Could it be that he actually doesn‘t want to be president?” Jones said — through laughter. “Wouldn’t it be interesting if it turned out he’s doing everything he can not to be president! And he still winds up winning?! Because you can‘t tell me that fellating a microphone is in anybody‘s playbook for anything! Am I wrong?!”

But the panel’s Republican analyst, Scott Jennings, questioned Jones’s account of the footage.

“Is that what he was doing?” Jennings asked. “Are we sure about this?”

The response left Jones exasperated.

“If we have to question two days before the election whether or not the president was fellating a microphone, we might have lost the plot!” Jones said.

Jennings then launched into his effort at spin.

“Look, he’s well known to be very, very picky the microphones and the audio,” Jennings said.

“What do you think he was doing?!” Phillip asked.

“He was obviously complaining that the thing was too short,” Jennings replied — as Jones laughed again.
