Dan Bongino Shows Up to Work After Tantrum, Vow to Quit if Bondi Not Fired By Trump

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino reportedly returned to work Monday after taking a day off last Friday and allegedly threatening to quit over the Jeffrey Epstein files.
Last week, Bongino and Attorney General Pam Bondi got into it over the Justice Department’s handling of Epstein’s case. Days earlier, the department — led by Bondi — released a memo concluding that the rumored “Epstein list” implicating some of the most powerful figures on the planet did not actually exist.
Upset by this conclusion, Bongino clashed with Bondi and even took Friday off in protest. Sources said he later threatened to leave his post if Bondi remained at the DOJ. Things escalated even further when it was reported that FBI Director Kash Patel was also considering stepping down if Bondi didn’t resign.
On Monday, however, Bongino was back at work. According to CNN’s Kristen Holmes, he was in a “better headspace”:
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino did show up for work at the FBI today, two sources tell me. Earlier in the day, sources said that he was in a better headspace today than last week after his blow up with Attorney General Pam Bondi. His long term future is still uncertain.
