DC Protester Wearing ‘Vagina Dress’ Complains About Elimination Of ‘Woman’ at Women’s March: ‘It’s Important To Say That Word…Not Just LGBTQIA+’

A protester wearing a “vagina dress” complained about the removal of the word “woman” from the DC protests before Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Daily Wire reporter Mary Margaret Olohan interviewed the female protester dressed in the genital costume in DC on Saturday afternoon. The protester noted that she previously participated in the 2017 DC Women’s March which occurred the day after Trump’s first inauguration. The current protest against Trump’s upcoming inauguration is being labeled the “People’s March.”

The protester then claimed that activists at the march want to “eliminate the word woman.”

OLOHAN: What inspired the dress?

PROTESTER: Well, we’ve got a women’s march to attend, and I did it eight years ago, and I’m back again years ago.

OLOHAN: What’s different about the 2017th March and today?

PROTESTER: The organization seems way better.

OLOHAN: I heard that it’s not called the Women’s March anymore. It’s the People’s March.

PROTESTER: But, you know, that’s sort of the trend lately has been sort of to eliminate the word woman.

OLOHAN: Why is that?

PROTESTER: I’m not willing to do that.

OLOHAN: Why? Why do they not want to say woman anymore?

PROTESTER: All kinds of reasons that I don’t agree with.

OLOHAN: Wait, tell us more I’m so interested in.

PROTESTER: That’s okay. I probably shouldn’t go there, but-

OLOHAN: I mean, I’m a woman. I like it when we talk about women. I think it’s important to remember us.

PROTESTER: Also lesbian. Not just LGBTQ, I A-plus.

OLOHAN: I’ve heard people say that the TIA part is more important than the woman part.

PROTESTER: You’re hitting on a biggie there. Probably not for this day.

OLOHAN: We’re not supposed to talk about that here?

PROTESTER: No. You know how it tends to be kind of contained.
