Florida’s attorney general is offering to help any jilted lovers take care of an ex-boyfriend or girlfriend who may be in the U.S. illegally.
Attorney General James Uthmeier made the eye-opening invitation on X Tuesday, saying his office is “happy to assist.”
“We recently got a tip from someone whose abusive ex overstayed a tourism visa. He is now cued up for deportation,” Uthmeier said in the post. “If your ex is in this country illegally, please feel free to reach out to our office. We’d be happy to assist.”
Uthmeier gained notoriety last month when he proposed sending detained migrants to a facility in the Everglades called “Alligator Alcatraz.”
The proposal became a reality just weeks later, as the migrant detention center was opened on July 3.
