Fox Anchor Confronts Trump Spox Leavitt With Profanity-Laced Hunter Biden Rant: ‘Reaction?’
Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum confronted White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt with a profanity-laced rant from former First Son Hunter Biden and asked her to react on Monday.
Former President Joe Biden’s son Hunter gave a marathon 3-hour-plus interview this week with YouTube star Andrew Callaghan on his Channel 5 show, really letting it all hang out with a blizzard of unvarnished commentary.
On Monday’s edition of Fox News Channel’s The Story with Martha MacCallum, MacCallum wrapped up a segment with Leavitt by asking her to respond to a searing rant from that interview in which Hunter railed against President Donald Trump’s deportation raids:
MACCALLUM: Karoline, I just want to get a quick reaction from you to this, because it’s getting a lot of attention today.
And, a year ago today, then-President Biden dropped out of the race. And we’re talking about immigration, you and I, right now. And Hunter Biden is incensed that there are some Democrats who are saying, we kind of get it now, that this was a major issue in the last election.
Let’s watch some of this, then get a quick thought from you on the other side, if we can.
(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
HUNTER BIDEN, SON OF JOE BIDEN: All these Democrats say, you have to talk about and realize that people are really upset about illegal immigration. (EXPLETIVE DELETED) you.
How do you think your hotel room gets cleaned? How do you think you have food on your (EXPLETIVE DELETED) table? Who do you think is here by the (EXPLETIVE DELETED) sheer (EXPLETIVE DELETED) just grit and will that they figured out a way to get here, because they thought that they could give theirselves and their family a better chance?
And he’s somehow convinced all of us that these people are the (EXPLETIVE DELETED) criminals?
(END VIDEO CLIP)
MACCALLUM: Quick reaction to that, Karoline, before I let you go.
LEAVITT: Clearly, they have learned nothing from President Trump’s overwhelming victory on November 5. The American people want deportations. They want secure borders. That’s why we have had the most successful six months of any administration.
The president has delivered on his two core campaign promises, defeat inflation and secure the homeland, in record time.
MACCALLUM: Well, it’s clear that Hunter Biden wants to tear down anybody who’s trying to move to the middle on this issue. We’re going to have more on that coming up.
Karoline Leavitt, thank you. Good to have you with us today. Thanks, Karoline.
LEAVITT: Thanks, Martha.
MACCALLUM: You bet.
