Fox’s Jonathan Hunt Saves Personal Items From Colleague Kennedy’s Palisades Home Amid Fires
Fox News correspondent Jonathan Hunt managed to save some personal items from the Pacific Palisades home of his colleague Kennedy while covering the fires that have claimed at least 10 lives and thousands of structures and homes.
Kennedy is one of a number of media figures dealing with the damage from the fires, and she spoke directly with Hunt about saving personal items from her home while he was covering the fires from the ground. Hunt is a chief correspondent for Fox based in Los Angeles.
“It just goes to show you what a family Fox is. So I was up all night with my daughters, incredibly worried about our home, our friends’ home. Our best friends live there. I talked to four of my best friends. They have all lost their homes within a block or two of where we live,” Kennedy said this week on The Five. “As Jonathan is showing you, it is a very fluid situation. I don’t feel like any neighborhood is safe right now. It is house by house. It is not even street by street.”
Hunt followed through for Kennedy and stopped by her home, saving photographs and paintings done by her children. As Hunt showed from the Pacific Palisades, entire neighborhoods have been essentially “leveled” by the expansive fires.
Hunt reported:
We have a dear colleague, Kennedy, I know her well, she has a home here. She asked us yesterday to go check on it and we were able to find the time to do that and save a couple of things from her property just in case the flames took that property. This is just a personal story and I know Kennedy has shared it on The Five so she doesn’t mind me sharing it, but she asked me to grab a couple of photographs, a couple of paintings her kids had done. Those kinds of things they bring tears to your eyes really because that is all people have left and when it comes down to it, that is what people care about, a picture, a memory. Everything, all of this is just destroyed, but you get what you can in these awful situations.
