Israel is planning to cut the number of aid trucks going into Gaza by 50% and limit assistance to the war-torn area, The Associated Press reported on Tuesday.

Sources speaking on the condition of anonymity told AP that Israel will “halve the number of aid trucks allowed into Gaza and limit distribution of assistance” as they feel the terror group Hamas has violated a recent peace agreement that includes the release of all hostages.

The Associated Press reported that the drop in aid to Gaza has been “transmitted to U.S. officials and international aid groups,” according to their three sources.

President Donald Trump confirmed in a Truth Social post on Tuesday that dead hostages have not been released yet.

“ALL TWENTY HOSTAGES ARE BACK AND FEELING AS GOOD AS CAN BE EXPECTED. A big burden has been lifted, but the job IS NOT DONE. THE DEAD HAVE NOT BEEN RETURNED, AS PROMISED! Phase Two begins right NOW!!!” the president wrote.

Trump signed the apparent ceasefire agreement in Egypt at a summit this week. This came hours after Hamas and Israel did a prisoner swap that saw thousands freed.

“This took 3,000 years to get to this point,” Trump said as he signed the papers. “Can you believe it? And it’s gonna hold up, too. It’s going to hold up.”

The 20 living hostages held by Hamas were released on Monday and taken to hospital before being reunited with their families.

Israel’s military announced that the ceasefire agreement was in effect last week.

“Since 12:00, IDF troops began positioning themselves along the updated deployment lines in preparation for the ceasefire agreement and the return of hostages,” Israeli Defense Forces announced on Friday. “IDF troops in the Southern Command are deployed in the area and will continue to remove any immediate threat.”
