‘It Is Insane!’ CNN’s Kaitlan Collins Says Trump Chaos Is Shock To The System After Biden

CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins told Late Night host Seth Meyers that the chaos of covering President Donald Trump after four years of President Joe Biden “is insane.”

Collins is the host of  CNN’s The Source with Kaitlan Collins, but has also returned to the White House beat as the network’s Chief White House Correspondent. Collins has quickly returned to form as a tough questioner whom Trump is quick to attack when he’s challenged.

On Thursday night’s edition of NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers, Collins revealed she’s always got to be ready for some kind of chaos and if you see her running, something is going down “and it’s probably not great”:

SETH MEYERS: So you’re doing this every day. You’re in D.C. The pace of the Trump administration seems to be moving pretty quickly. How are you holding up?

KAITLAN COLLINS: It is insane! And I think everyone is kind of like readjusting and re remembering what it was like four years ago. Pre-four years ago.

I remember when when Biden first took office in January, The New York Times wrote the story about how quiet the weekends were because for reporters, every weekend had just been like another — it was like a seven day workweek.

And now we’re back to that basically where it’s just essentially nonstop. Every day you kind of wake up like not knowing what you’re going to be doing, what the schedule is. I was walking to breakfast one day this week. I was like, okay, we have a nice little breakfast. I go to work and halfway there they’re like, Trump’s doing a press conference in an hour, and I physically ran back home so I could change and get ready.

SETH MEYERS: I feel like that’s how we all live now is we would not be surprised to see someone we know from CNN running.

KAITLAN COLLINS: Yeah, and I don’t run. So if you see me running, like fire up your Twitter, something’s about to happen —

SETH MEYERS: Yeah.

KAITLAN COLLINS: — and it’s probably not great.

SETH MEYERS: You bet.
