Joe Biden Briefly Erased From History In Google ‘US Presidents’ Search Glitch

For a brief period early Thursday Google’s search results for “US Presidents” erased former President Joe Biden from history, listing President Donald Trump as the last two-term president of the United States and skipping the Biden administration entirely.

Social media users were the first to flag the omission, posting screengrabs of their search results and tagging in Google to ask what had happened to Biden. The list of presidents, stretching back from George Washington to Trump, did not include the previous president.

The glitch, which was corrected around 2:00 AM Eastern time, left many wondering whether it was a technical mishap or something more sinister.

Social media users were the first to flag the omission, with some liberals speculating that Silicon Valley was “licking the ring” while conservatives laughed off the gaffe.

The timing of the incident raised eyebrows, coming just days after top tech CEOs—including Apple’s Tim Cook, Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, and Google’s Sundar Pichai—were seen attending Trump’s inauguration alongside close ally Elon Musk.

Adding fuel to the fire, Meta users reported Wednesday that their accounts were mysteriously auto-following Trump and his new Vice President, JD Vance. The concerns were later explained off by Meta’s communications director Andy Stone downplayed concerns as due to the simple change of administrative hands managing the primary “POTUS” account.

Google has yet to provide an official explanation for Biden’s temporary disappearance.
