Laughter Erupts in Briefing Room After Peter Doocy Botches Biden’s Name and Gets Roasted by John Kirby

Fox News loves a gaffe by President Joe Biden, but on Thursday, their own White House correspondent Peter Doocy had his own gaffe during a press briefing with National Security Council spokesman John Kirby.

Doocy wanted to know about purported clashes between Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza (per Kirby, there are no such clashes), but when he got to the second part of his question, he got a little marble-mouthed (as we all do sometimes) and the result was revealing:

Is President Obiden… [LAUGHTER]

The initial gaffe got a big laugh out of the rest of the White House press corps, and Kirby couldn’t help but smirk. And when Doocy tried to get everyone to chill out, it only led to a roast of Doocy’s employer:

Doocy: Is President Biden… [LAUGHTER] OKAY.

Kirby: Yes, he is. [LAUGHTER]

Doocy: That’s good, that’s a big story for us. Is the president —

Kirby: And only you!

Fox News has spent a lot of time covering Biden’s health and age, often wondering if he will even survive until the end of his current term.
