Mark Robinson Campaign Denies Claim by Notorious MAGA Troll That He’s Now Acting Campaign Manager

Notorious MAGA troll Jack Burkman announced on Sunday that he is now the acting campaign manager for North Carolina’s embattled Lieutenant Governor Mike Robinson. The Robinson campaign, however, says not so.
In a post on X, Burkman praised Robinson as “a great American and a PERFECT governor for North Carolina” while encouraging followers to donate to the campaign.
The Robinson campaign, however, has denied the claim on Monday:
The episode comes as top staff for Robinson’s gubernatorial run resigned amid fallout over the scandal that engulfed his campaign last week after CNN broke news that the Republican, enforced by former President Donald Trump, had posted multiple times over a decade ago on a pornographic website called Nude Africa.
The KFile report claimed that Robinson referred to himself as a “Black Nazi” and voiced support for bringing back slavery. He also related graphic sexual stories on the forum about spying on women in locker rooms.
Robinson denied the claims as “outrageous lies.”
Still, as ranking staffers including the campaign manager and finance director abandon his campaign, Burkman claimed that he’d been made acting campaign manager.
The lobbyist is most famous for pushing conspiracy theories about the Democratic National Convention hack during the 2016 presidential election, as well as pushing smears against Democratic lawmaker Pete Buttigieg during his 2020 presidential campaign and Dr. Anthony Fauci, who helped lead the White House Coronavirus Task Force.
In April, New York Attorney General Letitia James reached a settlement with Burkman and collaborator Jacob Wohl for a robocall scheme that sought to discourage Black Americans from voting during the 2020 election.
Burkman’s last post before his Robinson announcement was in July pushing claims that “sources” told him President Joe Biden had only “24 hours to live.”
