Owner Of 4 Literal ‘Trump Burger’ Joints Nailed By Trump Deportation Forces — Faces Removal
President Donald Trump’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency is defending the arrest of Roland Mehrez Beainy, owner of four “Trump Burger” restaurants who now faces deportation, in fairly cold terms.
It’s not the only Trump-themed restaurant in Texas, but “Trump Burger” boasts four locations — one of which just opened last month — a “Trump Was Right About Everything” banner, and buns with Trump’s name burned right into them.
But even after Trump’s promise not to hurt farms and restaurants, his deportation force keeps arresting people in both industries — including the Trump Burger-meister. Arrested in May, the case is drawing attention this week as ICE defends the proceeding. ICE told The Hill, “Roland Mehrez Beainy does not have any immigration benefits that prevented his arrest or removal from the United States.”
A 2022 article states that the man was born in the U.S. and moved to Lebanon as a child before returning to the U.S.
The agency sent Houston’s KHOU a statement as ice-cold as a vanilla milkshake as they defended the arrest and removal proceeding. From KHOU’s Ilona Carson:
ILONA CARSON: Well, this morning, the owner of Trump Burger restaurants is facing deportation.
ICE says Roland Beainy, a 28-year-old from Lebanon, overstayed his visa after entering the U.S. back in 2019.
He was taken into custody in May and is now not out on bond as he awaits immigration proceedings.
ICE sent a statement to KHOU 11 saying that they will “hold everyone accountable regardless of what restaurant you own. Political beliefs you might have.”
Other news reports noted that Trump Burger just opened its fourth location just a month ago — meaning that Mr. Beainy was arrested mere weeks before the new restaurant opened. According to an Eater profile in January, the expansion was due to high demand:
Weeks after Donald Trump was inaugurated for a second term as president of the United States, a restaurant dishing out burgers stamped with “Trump” on the bun is planning its opening in Houston.
Trump Burger, a small Texas chain with outposts in Bellville and Flatonia, is opening a new location at 3410 Chimney Rock Road in West Houston in the next few weeks, according to a report by the Houston Chronicle. The owner, Roland Beainy, says he chose Houston because there was high demand for his burgers from local residents who were traveling more than an hour to visit his Bellville location.
