SHOCK POLL: Elon Musk’s Favorability Absolutely Craters After His Falling Out With Trump

Elon Musk’s favorability rating has plummeted to disastrous levels amid his falling out with President Donald Trump.

According to poll results published Thursday by CNN, the former DOGE boss — who did not have a terribly solid base of support to begin with — now has a favorability rating that is rapidly approaching Putin levels. The CNN poll shows a dismal 23 percent of Americans have a favorable opinion of Musk, while a staggering 60 percent have an unfavorable view of the Tesla chief. That’s a 12 point drop in favorability compared to the same poll in March, while Musk’s unfavorables jumped by 7 points.

As expected, given the feud with President Trump, the biggest losses came among Republicans. The CNN poll found just 42 percent of Republicans view Musk in a favorable light — down dramatically from the 75 percent who had a favorable opinion back in March when he was still wielding his DOGE chainsaw.

The disastrous poll numbers come just as Musk is trying to get his new “America Party” off the ground. Musk, on Sunday, announced his intentions to launch the new third party — claiming more than 2-to-1 support for the venture in an unscientific poll on X.

But CNN’s scientific poll brought worse news for Musk and the America Party. Just 25 percent of respondents voiced support for Musk’s new party, while 74 percent stand opposed.

Still, it may not take much for the party to have the impact Musk intends. A new poll from Echelon Insights showed that while the America Party would draw just 5 percent on the 2026 generic congressional ballot, that five percent would come entirely from the GOP, and would swing the race from Republicans +1 to Democrats +4.
