The Supreme Court has rolled back the sweeping injunctions that blocked President Donald Trump’s executive order targeting birthright citizenship.
The 6-3 decision is seen as a win for Trump, who has long griped about individual judges throwing monkey wrenches into his orders concerning immigration.
Trump issued an executive order on birthright citizenship on Jan. 20 in a bid to protect the “meaning and value of American citizenship.” The order was blocked by numerous federal judges.
The fate of birthright citizenship remains unclear, the Associated Press reported.
