‘This is Unacceptable!’ Fox Contributor Delivers Impassioned Real-Time Condemnation of Charlie Kirk Shooting
Fox News contributor and former FBI agent Nicole Parker joined the network in the immediate aftermath of the news breaking that pro-Trump activist Charlie Kirk had been shot while on a college campus in Utah.
“I’m absolutely stunned. I’m shocked right now. This is not what I was anticipating I would be reporting on. I’m here at the courthouse for the assassination attempt against Donald Trump, and now we’re hearing that Charlie Kirk has been shot. I do know a lot of people in Utah. I have many relatives there. Utah Valley University is in Orem, Utah. It’s actually close to Brigham Young University, which is a very large university,” Parker began, adding:
Utah Valley is a much smaller university. I understand that Charlie Kirk was there speaking for a Turning Point event. Jason Chaffetz, who is from Utah, obviously was a congressman there. I know him very well as well. He’s from the area and he was a witness to it from my understanding.
This is absolutely heart-wrenching. This is unacceptable. This is Charlie Kirk. He is a key person in the conservative movement. This type of violence against those making political statements can no longer be tolerated. This is not OK. My heart is broken right now. Let’s pray for Charlie Kirk immediately, make sure that he is okay.
Utah is a very conservative area. It’s known to be a conservative state. It’s a very red state. We’ll see what the details are of this, but I’m absolutely stunned and we immediately need to go into prayer mode. This is not okay. Speaking about transgender is what I believe he was speaking on at the time that this occurred. This is obviously a hot topic, which is controversial to others. It is never okay to deal with your personal grievance or your lack of agreeing with someone with violence. Nicole, I just want to jump in here as we’re getting word that they must find this individual if they are not already in custody and make sure that, you know, the community is safe there. But most of all, that Charlie Kirk is OK.
Reports in the wake of the shooting noted that Kirk had been hospitalized, and Utah’s Deseret News said, “Bystanders report seeing Kirk shot near his neck during a Q&A with students.”
