Trump Absolutely Loses It on Jerome Powell as Interest Rates Remain Unchanged: ‘TOO ANGRY, TOO STUPID, & TOO POLITICAL’

President Donald Trump laid into Federal Reserve chief and nemesis Jerome Powell in a fiery Truth Social rant Thursday morning, a day after Powell again declined to lower interest rates.

“Jerome “Too Late” Powell has done it again!!! He is TOO LATE, and actually, TOO ANGRY, TOO STUPID, & TOO POLITICAL, to have the job of Fed Chair,” Trump posted. “He is costing our Country TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS, in addition to one of the most incompetent, or corrupt, renovations of a building(s) in the history of construction! Put another way, “Too Late” is a TOTAL LOSER, and our Country is paying the price!”

On Wednesday, the Fed left interest rates unchanged despite Trump’s demands that they be lowered.

Trump’s Truth Social tirade comes a week after he publicly tussled with Powell over the cost of renovations at the Fed as they toured the building.

Earlier this month, it apparently slipped Trump’s mind that he appointed Powell in the first place, when he said, “I was surprised he was appointed. I was surprised, frankly, that Biden put him in and extended him, but they did.”
