Trump Complains He Should Have Won FIVE Nobel Prizes By Now But ‘They Only Give Them To Liberals’

President Donald Trump complained to reporters that he should have been awarded as many as five Nobel Peace Prizes by now, but says they’re only given “to liberals.”

As he waits out a self-styled two-week deadline for a decision on whether to strike Iran, Trump headed to his Trump National Golf Club resort in Bedminster, New Jersey on Friday afternoon for a closed-door MAGA Inc. dinner.

Trump answered questions from reporters after he arrived at the Morristown, NJ, airport, and was asked about the suggestion that he be awarded a Nobel, and that it should be renamed to the Trump Peace Prize. That suggestion came from former Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz:

REPORTER: Sir, former Congressman Matt Gaetz had an interesting idea, suggesting that if you were to broker a deal where nuclear inspectors go into both Israel and Iran, that you could win a Nobel Peace Prize, and they might even rename it the Trump Peace Prize. Did you hear those? What do you think of that?

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Well, they should give me the Nobel Prize for Rwanda. And if you look to Congo, or you could say Serbia, Kosovo, you can say a lot of them.

You could say — I mean, the big one is India and Pakistan. You could — I should have gotten it four or five times.

I should get it for the — I would think the Abraham, of course, would be a good one, too.

REPORTER: But.

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: They won’t give me a Nobel Peace Prize because they only give it to liberals.

Government officials from India have disputed Trump’s characterization of his role in the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. According to a readout from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s office, “Prime Minister Modi clearly conveyed to President Trump that at no point during this entire sequence of events was there any discussion, at any level, on an India-U.S. Trade Deal, or any proposal for a mediation by the U.S. between India and Pakistan. The discussion to cease military action took place directly between India and Pakistan through the existing channels of communication between the two armed forces, and it was initiated at Pakistan’s request.”

India’s foreign secretary also pushed back on Trump’s account this week.
