Trump Lashes Out At CNN Reporter At Flag Photo Op: ‘Do You Ever Ask A Positive Question?’

President Donald Trump lashed out at CNN White House correspondent Alayna Treene during a photo op because he wanted a more “positive question” than the one she asked.

Trump announced on Tuesday that “It is my Great Honor to announce that I will be putting up two beautiful Flag Poles on both sides of the White House, North and South Lawns,” and made good on that announcement Wednesday morning with a flagpole-installing photo op.

After brief remarks, Trump took questions from reporters on the South Lawn of the White House. Trump then stuck around to watch the flagpoles go up, and wound up taking more questions.

Trump’s abrupt rush toward U.S. military involvement in the Iran-Israel conflict has created a fracture among high-profile MAGA supporters, which it turns out is a sore subject with Trump. When Treene tried to ask about the split, Trump lost it on her:

ALAYNA TREENE: Mr. President some of your supporters are splitting on the U.S. response to–.

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Who are you with?

ALAYNA TREENE: CNN. There’s a split though–

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: (SCOFFS) Fake news, fortunately nobody watched it.

ALAYNA TREENE: But my question is…

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Is anybody watching CNN nowadays? I haven’t seen it in a long time.

Speaker 3 So some of your supporters are wary of the U.S. getting involved in another foreign war, and some believe that we should support it.

PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: Do you ever ask a positive question at CNN?

My supporters are more in love with me today, and I’m in love with them more than they were even at election time, where we had a total landslide.

We had, you know, we won all seven swing states at CNN report that. We won all 7 out of 7, which everyone said would be almost impossible. We won by millions of votes. We won 2,750 districts versus 505 districts. Think of that 2,750 versus 505. And CNN… shh–gee.
