Trump Posts Supercut Of Fox Gushing About His Construction Site Photo Op — With Yuge Deceptive Edit
Former President Donald Trump posted a glowing fan edit featuring gushing Fox coverage of his construction site photo op — which contained a major deceptive edit of correspondent Alexis McAdams.
Early on Thursday’s edition of Fox & Friends, Fox News spent twenty solid minutes covering former President Donald Trump’s early-morning photo op with screaming fans at a construction site, including on-the-spot coverage from McAdams.
Trump also fielded mostly-friendly questions from reporters — ignoring the one who asked about Stormy Daniels — and mingled with supporters as Fox cameras covered the whole thing live.
McAdams asked Trump several questions, including “How important is the union vote? And you’re here in New York City. You’re talking with these members. Do you think you can maybe change some of their minds, if they were lifelong Democrats, to vote for you?”
Hours later, Trump posted a supercut of the coverage that was almost entirely comprised of Fox News and Fox Business clips — with a couple of Newsmax clips at the end — that featured a lot of glowing commentary and one deceptively edited shot at President Joe Biden:
DAVID ASMAN: Donald Trump’s surprise visit to a construction site, hundreds of cheering union members turned out to meet the former president. It was quite a scene.
ALEXIS MCADAMS: These are hardworking New Yorkers, union members who have been working on this big construction site here in midtown Manhattan near Trump Tower.
DONALD TRUMP: I think these maybe were Democrats, but for me, they’re a Republican. We built a lot of great buildings in the city with these people, and, they’ve given me great support. They’re very, very talented people. They don’t get the credit for it that very few people can do what they do.
ALEXIS MCADAMS: These union workers who are here to talk to the president are paying the price of failed economic policies currently in the country.
LAUREN SIMONETTI: And you heard in New York City chants of “We want Trump!”
But in the original coverage, it’s clear that the quote about “failed economic policies” was not coming from McAdams — she explicitly cited “the Trump team” and read off their statements:
So it’s about just a couple of minutes away here and he’s going to talk here about New York City and quality of life issues they say that everyday Americans are dealing with. The Trump team tells us “These union workers who are here to talk to the president are paying the price of failed economic policies currently in the country.”.
So the president wants to talk with these people to gain their support.
