Trump Shares a Bunch of Off-the-Wall Memes in Rollercoaster Truth Social Spree — Including One With Obama and Hillary Behind Bars

President Donald Trump went on a rollercoaster re-posting spree on his Truth Social platform Wednesday during which he shared a number of off-the-wall memes — including several alluding to the imprisonment of his political enemies.

The president began re-posting shortly before 7 a.m. ET Wednesday — in all sharing 30 memes and other posts from his followers. The one sure to raise the most eyebrows was a meme in which 14 major Democratic politicians were depicted behind bars, with the caption: “Until this happens, nothing will change.” Among those included in the image; former President Barack Obama, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and former FBI director James Comey.

Trump doubled down on the prospect of imprisoning Obama by sharing another meme which was captioned: “It’s time to indict Obama the traitor.”

The memes come just days after Trump, speaking with reporters in the Oval Office, accused Obama of treason — alleging his administration suppressed intelligence findings that Russia didn’t alter vote tallies by hacking election infrastructure in the 2016 election in order to undermine Trump’s presidency.

“It’s time to go after people,” Trump said on July 23. “Obama’s been caught directly. If you look at that — those papers — they have him stone cold, and it was President Obama. It wasn’t lots of people all over the place. It was them, too. But the leader of the gang was President Obama. You know, I like to say, let’s give it time. It’s there. He’s guilty. This was treason.”

A 2020 report by the Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee found Russia did indeed interfere in the 2016 election.

Another meme shared by Trump showed a picture of former President Joe Biden along with Obama, Comey, and numerous other top Democrats.

“Treason,” the caption read. “Evidence proves both the FBI and CIA were involved in the historic 2020 election lie that Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian propaganda. Retruth if you want these criminals brought to justice.”

The president kept the focus on Biden with another meme which read: “Joe Biden’s presidency was the biggest scam in U.S. history!”

And there was also a shot at Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) — who Trump has accused of mortgage fraud by sharing an apparent tax document purporting to show Schiff representing a secondary residence in Maryland as a primary residence in order to get a lower interest rate. Trump re-truthed a meme alleging Schiff lied about Russian interference in 2016.

And Democrats weren’t the only targets of Trump’s posting spree. The president took on Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) in an effort to get him — as chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee — to eliminate the “blue slip” rule, which allows senators from the home state of a judicial nominee to object and effectively block the nomination.

“Grassley is a RINO,” a Truth Social user wrote in a comment Trump re-posted. “HE ALWAYS HAS BEEN. HES JUST MUCH MORE SNEAKY AND IS GOOD AT PLAYING THE GOOD GUY INSTEAD BEING THE GOOD GUY.”
