‘Unethical and Probably Illegal!’ Mary Trump Shoots Down Guest’s Garish Plan To Imprison Trump
Ex-presidential niece Mary Trump shot down Brian Karem’s garish and detailed plan to imprison former President Donald Trump and turn a buck in the process.
Mary Trump — host of The Mary Trump Show podcast and a strident Trump critic — hosted Karem as part of a video series for her The Good In Us newsletter subscribers. Karem is a White House reporter who frequently tangled with Trump and his spokespersons during the last administration, and who is a regular on Mary’s #NerdAvengers panel.
Looking ahead to the new year, Karem predicted that Trump would be imprisoned at Alcatraz and turned into a tourist cash cow:
MARY: Listen, we’re all going to need some respites here or there over 2024. And let’s be completely real about it, it’s going to be a tough year in a lot of ways and it’s going to be unrelenting. But what are you looking forward to, other than your gig tour? Is there anything on the horizon that you think is something that we can hang on to that we can feel good about that will just help us stay motivated?
BRIAN: I remain unconvinced that Donald Trump will be on the ballot next November, and so I’m holding onto that.
MARY: Fascinating.
BRIAN: I’m also convinced that at some point next year, since the federal government already controls Alcatraz, they’ll just reclaim it as a prison and there will be only one prisoner held there and he’ll have a two-hole golf course if he wants his Secret service entourage. And the only condition is that twice a day for two hours, he has to stand in a cage in an orange suit while tourists pay 20 bucks to have their picture taken with him. I’m holding onto that.
MARY: Pretty sure that last part is unethical and probably illegal.
BRIAN: With Donnie, most things are.
MARY: That’s a very good point, isn’t it?
BRIAN: They’ll just rename it Mar-a-Lago West.
MARY: He wouldn’t know the difference probably as long as he could play golf.
BRIAN: That’s it. Give him a two-hole golf course, let him have at it, and he just stays there.
