WATCH: Drunken Man Steals Golf Cart, Takes It on Joy Ride Around Buffalo Airport
A man has been arrested after he was captured on video driving a stolen golf cart through the Buffalo Niagara International Airport in New York on Monday morning.
Wyoming man Kevin J. Sinning, 29, was charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, criminal possession of stolen property greater than $3,000, criminal nuisance, and grand larceny, according to the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA).
Sinning was able to steal the cart after it was left unattended with the keys in the ignition.
Video quickly spread across social media of Sinning’s airport hijinks, which included taking the golf cart onto a moving walkway. The cart eventually only had a pair of wheels on the slim conveyer belt while the other wheels were on top of the metal siding. He was arrested when the vehicle made it to the other end of the walkway.
Full video shows Sinning making his way down moving walkways multiple times and cruising on the airport floor, ignoring multiple wet floor warning signs.
NFTA officials said Sinning caused damage to the vehicle — as well as the glass and metal on the moving walkways — and appeared “visibly intoxicated.” Sinning appears dazed in the video, ignoring employees’ demands to stop. The incident occurred at around 1 a.m. on Monday.
