‘We Demand Proof Of Life!’ VP Of Captured Prez Lashes Out At Trump After Stunning Strike

Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez lashed out at President Donald Trump after the capture of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, demanding “proof of life” for the pair and denouncing the attack.

News broke after midnight Friday that the United States struck Venezuela’s capital of Caracas early Saturday morning as a series of explosions were reported by multiple news outlets.

At 4:21 AM, Trump posted on Truth Social that Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores were captured, and promised a press conference later in the day:

The United States of America has successfully carried out a large scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been, along with his wife, captured and flown out of the Country. This operation was done in conjunction with U.S. Law Enforcement. Details to follow. There will be a News Conference today at 11 A.M., at Mar-a-Lago. Thank you for your attention to this matter! Rodriguez reacted to the strike with shock and anger in remarks demanding to know the whereabouts of Maduro and the Venezuelan First Lady:

VENEZUELAN VICE PRESIDENT DELCY RODRIGUEZ: In the face of this brutal attack we at this moment do not know the place in which the President Nicolás Maduro is, along with his wife, so we are demanding President Donald Trump a proof of life of President Nicolaas Maduro and also the first Lady Cilia Flores.
