‘WHAT The F—CK??’ Woman at Anti-Trump Town Hall Makes Stunning Claim — Workers Forced to Write Trump Fan Letters
A Department of Defense worker at an anti-Trump town hall made the stunning claim that new employees are required to submit essays on their support for President Donald Trump.
Trump’s second term has been peppered with stories about loyalty tests and oaths of fealty, and at a Jim Acosta town hall event this week, a woman who self-identified as a DOD employee and a military veteran dropped a new one.
During the town hall, held at Washington, D.C.’s Lincoln Theatre, Acosta opened the floor to comments and questions for his guests.
DEFENSE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEE: Hello, military spouse, DOD employee and veteran.
And let me tell you something, two days ago, I got an email with the new employee standards for federal workers.
And it includes not only a loyalty pledge, but a two-page essay–.
JIM ACOSTA: Loyalty pledge?
DEFENSE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEE: –on why you support the Trump administration or the current administration–.
CROWD MEMBER: What the FUCK?
DEFENSE DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEE: –for federal worker. So our upcoming federal employees, take an oath to the Constitution.
But we also have to do a two-page essay on why we support the new administration. No. What the literal fuck is going on? And I think that that needs to be addressed by our unions more than anything.
JIM ACOSTA: All right, thank you so much. Thanks everybody for your, maybe one last real quick one, I’m so sorry.
Our loyalty is to the United States of America, ma’am. Thank you for bringing that up. I have to make, we’re running a little late, but I have to say you’re absolutely right.
