‘Whoa! He Fell Through the Floor!’ CNN’s Harry Enten Shows How Elon Musk Turned Into ‘Political Kryptonite’
Elon Musk has become “political kryptonite” for President Donald Trump — at least in the opinion of CNN’s chief data analyst.
Appearing on CNN News Central Wednesday, Harry Enten broke down the latest polling on Musk and showed how it could be a big reason he is taking a step back from politics.
“How unpopular is he?!” Enten said at the outset of the segment. “How low can you go?! Oh my!”
Enten pointed to a recent Ipsos poll that showed Musk with a -17 net favorability rating among all Americans, and a stunning -91 net favorability among Democrats.
“Whoa! He fell through the floor!” Enten said. He added, “You can’t really go lower than that. I guess you could go down to minus 100 points. But he became political kryptonite. He was greatly disliked by the American public, and greatly, greatly, greatly disliked by Democrats.”
The CNN data analyst then turned to another data point to illustrate Musk’s fall in President Trump’s orbit — Truth Social posts.
“From January 20 to April 4 he posted about [Musk] 40 times,” Enten said. “From April 5th onward, zero, zero, zero!”
Enten added, “Donald Trump knows brands very well. He knows political brands, and he knew that Elon Musk’s political brands time had run out. And therefore, Elon Musk taking a step back from politics.”
