Wolf Blitzer Teased for Reporting on Glasgow COP26 Climate Change Summit … From Edinburgh
CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on Monday appeared to confuse the location of an international climate summit he was attending after his network sent him to a city more than an hour’s driving distance away. To be fair, Blitzer is in the same location where all other press corps members are staying.
“I’m now reporting from Edinburgh in Scotland where 20,000 world leaders and delegates have gathered for the COP26 Climate Summit,” the network anchor wrote on Twitter, before helping explain, “COP, by the way, stands for ‘Conference of the Parties.’ It’s the 26th time they have gathered to discuss and take action on this critical issue.
The summit was in fact held in Glasgow, Scotland, 47 miles away from Edinburgh. Air Force One touched down in Edinburgh before leaving CNN’s crew — and the rest of the travel press — back at the Edinborough base, though President Joe Biden — along with the White House travel pool — is staying in the city. Nonetheless, the innocent inconsistency drew some teasing and even some ridicule from critics.
Well at least he didn’t have to queue https://t.co/POFdtwtCx0

Blitzer issued a new tweet three hours after his original message.
Coming up, we’ll have live coverage of President Biden’s remarks at the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow, Scotland. Air Force One landed in Edinburgh and Biden made the drive to Glasgow where he was greeted by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson & UN Secretary General António Guterres
