‘Absolute Disaster’: Steve Bannon Rages Over Republicans Losing Virginia for a ‘Generation’ After Democrat Wins
BANNON: Glenn Youngkin, you just ended your political career last night. You destroyed the Republican Party in Virginia for a GENERATION. You pushed a Never-Trumper candidate and made it so she was the only option!

Steve Bannon went off on Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin (R) on Wednesday, declaring his political career is over and he helped lose Virginia for Republicans for a “generation” after Tuesday’s losses.
On Bannon’s WarRoom, the former advisor to President Donald Trump called results in Virginia, where Bannon is from, an “absolute disaster” for Republicans.
Democrat Abigail Spanberger won Virginia’s gubernatorial race against Republican Winsome Earle-Sears. Democrat Jay Jones was also elected as the state’s attorney general, and fellow Democrat Ghazala Hashmi won the race for lieutenant governor. Democrats also saw big wins in New Jersey and New York City on Tuesday night.
Bannon said:
In the Commonwealth of Virginia, Glenn Youngkin, bro, what are you spending time in Iowa [for]? You just ended your political career last night. As a native Virginian, you destroyed, you, destroyed the Republican Party for a generation. There are seats in the House of Delegates that are unfathomable that were lost last night, to a supermajority, a super majority in the House.
Bannon raged at Youngkin for backing Earle-Sears, whom Bannon called a “Trump-hating disaster.”
He said:
Virginia’s gonna go 10-1 in the House. They’re gonna be like New England, or they’re gonna be like Illinois, or they’re gonna be California, the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is a disgrace that you push that lieutenant governor that you weaponized against Trump in ’21 and ’22 when you wanted [Ron] DeSantis. You weaponized her, and then you rigged it that there wasn’t even a primary. She’s going to be the candidate and she was a unmitigated Trump hating disaster.
Ahead of Tuesday’s elections, Bannon argued Trump was “not engaged” in the various races as he should have been.
“They’ve had no engagement in Trump in any of these elections. He wasn’t engaged in New Jersey. He’s not engaged in the commonwealth of Virginia. He’s not engaged in New York City. He’s not engaged in California,” he said.
