Piers Morgan Segment Goes Off the Rails When He Asks Feminist to Define a Woman: ‘What Are You Talking About!?’

A debate on Piers Morgan Uncensored descended into chaos Friday after Morgan asked a feminist commentator to simply define a woman.

Morgan was joined by commentators Clementine Ford, Andrew Wilson, Rachel Wilson, and Emily Wilson. As the group was discussing trans rights, Morgan posed the question to Ford.

“OK, I have a question for you, Clementine,” Morgan said. “It’s a very simple question, but I think it’ll be an interesting question to ask you. What is a woman?”

Ford immediately expressed little interest in the conversation as the two then went back and forth:

FORD: Piers, I’m not going down the path of debating trans women with you.

MORGAN: I didn’t mention trans women! I asked you what a woman is!

FORD: OK, I’ll tell you; but I know that — because this is your tactic. This is what you do. “What is a woman?” I’ll tell you what a woman is.

MORGAN: It shouldn’t be controversial!

FORD: I’ll tell you what a woman is. A woman is someone who has, at least at one point in her life, felt scared of a man.

That response was met with incredulous expressions from the rest of the panel:

MORGAN: Sorry?

FORD: But you guys never wanna talk about that!

ANDREW: So, wait, wait. Hang on, hang on. So any man who’s ever felt afraid of another man is a woman? What are you talking about?

FORD: No, no, no, no, no, that’s not what I’m saying. That’s not–

ANDREW: You know, this is exactly why — you’re wearing that shirt that says, “repeal.” You should put “the 19th” under it. It’s unbelievable! What are you talking about? “A woman is anybody who has ever, at one point, been afraid of a man.” It’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard! Do you have an actual argument here?

FORD: Would you let me finish speaking–

ANDREW: Yeah, how long is it gonna take for you to finish? How long’s it gonna take for you to finish?

FORD: Piers, do you really just invite people on your show to be interrupted like this?

MORGAN: Well, Clementine, look, with all due respect, we did do a bit of research into what you said about me in the past; so I think I’m entitled to give you–

FORD: So you already know what I think about that question because I’ve written about you asking that question!

MORGAN: Yes, you have. In fact, you said–

FORD: So why would you ask it again when you know what my answer to that is?

MORGAN: To enlighten the audience you have no idea what you’re talking about.
