Tucker Carlson Savages Jennifer Griffin, Claims He ‘Complained About Her’ While Still At Fox

Tucker Carlson, the fired Fox News host, has been on a crusade in recent weeks, attacking his former employer and some of its stars.

In mid-June, Carlson accused Fox News of pushing Trump to go to war with Iran and wrote, “Who are the warmongers? They would include anyone who’s calling Donald Trump today to demand air strikes and other direct US military involvement in a war with Iran. On that list: Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Rupert Murdoch, Ike Perlmutter and Miriam Adelson. At some point, they will all have to answer for this, but you should know their names now.”

This week, Carlson took aim at Fox News chief national security correspondent Jennifer Griffin, who is one of the most respected Pentagon reporters in the business.

“Jen Griffin is a liar, but also very liberal — a true Trump hater, to the point where I complained about her. And I really tried not to complain about other people at Fox when I worked there because I don’t like that office politics stuff, but she was discrediting the channel,” claimed Carlson, who was axed in the wake of Fox’s settlement with Dominion Voting Systems over 2020 election fraud lies.

Carlson figured prominently in the lawsuit and many of his personal texts were made public via discovery – including one that showed he wanted reporter Jacqui Heinrich fired for reporting that “top election infrastructure officials” said that “’There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised.’” Carlson’s move to fire Heinrich, like his “complaint” about Griffin, were clearly ignored at Fox as they have both since been promoted.

Carlson continued his attack on Griffin, saying, “She was such a Trump hater, and it was emotional. Her internal memos were telling us—they were like screeds. It was like, oh, I’ll just read Politico Playbook if that’s what you want, or whatever. I’ll read Mother Jones.”

“And I said to an executive at Fox, ‘What are we doing with this Jennifer Griffin person? She’s an idiot. She doesn’t tell the truth. She misleads our viewers, and she’s like a screaming liberal who hates Trump, who our viewers love. So what are we getting out of this?’ And I was told, oh, you could not touch Jennifer. I don’t know what that’s about,” Carlson concluded.

Griffin had also fact-checked Carlson since he left the network, making clear some of his claims were “100% not true.” Griffin came under fire from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Thursday as part of Hegseth’s attacks on the media over coverage of the U.S. bombing of Iran.

Many of Griffin’s colleagues rushed to her defense, including Brit Hume, who said on air, “[It was] an attack she certainly, in my view, did not deserve. Her professionalism, her knowledge, and her experience at the Pentagon is unmatched. And I have then, have had, and still have, the greatest regard for her. The attack on her was unfair.”
