Divided No More? Wall Street Journal Prints Hilariously Confusing Electoral Map Showing Unanimous Obama Win
In Tuesday night’s election, every single state voted to re-elect President Barack Obama, right?
What, you say? That’s not true? Well, I have a reputable source:
Today’s print edition of Wall Street Journal. Take a look at this map that ran atop Daniel Henninger‘s opinion column on “Obama’s Divided Nation”:
So Henninger’s title is ironic, right? Is he arguing that America is no longer divided under Obama… with this unanimous map of American states’ votes?
Oh, right, no. It’s just the perils of newspaper black-and-white print. The map is supposed to have two colors: red and blue for Republican and Democratic. But alas, when printing in B&W, your only options for a graphic are… black… and slightly blacker.
So what’s the real map supposed to look like? Well, the online edition of WSJ has the real deal:
Ah, that’s better.
