NYT Fires Back at Trump: Everything Haberman Reported from White House ‘Has Proven True’

The New York Times fired back at President Donald Trump after he slammed reporter Maggie Haberman and accused her of using “drunk/drugged up loser” sources to try to make the case that his lawyer, Michael Cohen, would flip.
“The New York Times and a third rate reporter named Maggie Haberman, known as a Crooked H flunkie who I don’t speak to and have nothing to do with, are going out of their way to destroy Michael Cohen and his relationship with me in the hope that he will ‘flip,'” Trump kvetched in his corrected version of the rant, which had first appeared with Haberman’s name spelled as “Habberman.”

In response, NYT’s executive editor Dean Baquet issued a statement insisting Trump’s claims were not remotely true.
“The story is filled with named quotes on the record, and everything Maggie has reported from inside the White House has proven true,” Baquet said in the statement published Saturday afternoon.
The Times also noted that while Trump had insisted that the report was an attempt to destroy Cohen, Trump “did not assert that the article was false.”
