Weird Trump Music Pool Reports Drop Amid Furor Over Empty Schedule

Several weird pool reports about music wafting from the Rose Garden of the White House dropped as President Donald Trump’s schedule raises eyebrows among critics and others.

Veteran journalist Laura Rozen, who routinely shares details of President Trump’s schedule, touched off an avalanche of reaction when she posted an observation on X/Twitter.

“Trump has no public events scheduled all weekend. Don’t believe he was seen today either,” Rozen wrote, along with the official White House schedule for the weekend:

The post has racked up over 25 million views and a blizzard of intense reactions.

Prominent resistance influencer Majid Padellan (aka BrooklynDadDefiant) commented on the uproar this tweet caused, writing “Wait, WTF happened, I jump off Twitter for a few hours and now I’m seeing all these tweets that trump is dead?”

Rozen replied “An observation that he has not been seen publicly since tuesday and has no public events on his public schedule thru the long weekend has set off a deluge. but that was not my intention.”

Amid the speculation, several pool reports by Axios reporter Brittany Gibson emerged documenting a reprise of Trump’s patio DJing — sans the appearance by Trump — and some vague details about his schedule:

President Trump is playing music in the Rose Garden that can be heard outside the briefing room. White House confirmed it’s the president’s music.

Thanks to my fellow reporters who heard the music and came to the pool desk.

Adding some color on the music today at the White House, correspondents have heardBowie, the Beatles, Michael Jackson, Andrea Bocelli and “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Misérables. The music is still playing.

White House did not share additional information on who President Trump is currently with while playing the music, but said that he has policy meetings and a media interview on his schedule today.

CNN White House producer Alejandra Jaramillo captured video of the music — but not the president:
