Charlamagne Attacks ‘Liberal Media’ for Focusing on Trump-Epstein Relationship and Ignoring Bill Clinton Connection

Charlamagne Tha God claimed the “liberal media” is showing its bias by focusing on the relationship between President Donald Trump and late child sex predator Jeffrey Epstein and ignoring former President Bill Clinton’s connection to Epstein.

On The Breakfast Club, Charlamagne referred to a letter Trump reportedly wrote to Epstein in 2003 for his 50th birthday. The letter, which was first reported on by The Wall Street Journal, contains a sketch of a naked woman with Trump’s signature. The last line reads: “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.” The president has denied ever writing the letter and sued the Journal over the reporting.

Charlamagne argued that Clinton’s connections to Epstein should be as talked about as much as Trump’s.

“It’s just funny how the news works. Because Bill Clinton wrote a letter to Jeffrey Epstein as well for his birthday — but nobody’s talking about that. And Jeffrey Epstein had a picture of Bill Clinton in a dress, in high heels, you know, in his New York mansion, but nobody’s talking about that,” he said.

Epstein died of an apparent suicide while being charged with sex trafficking in 2019. A Department of Justice/FBI memo recently dropped denying the existence of a list of high profile abusers associated over the decades with Epstein.

A number of major MAGA voices have since been calling for more documents to be released, while Trump has called the existence of a client list a “hoax” and lashed out at his own supporters over the Epstein issue. Attorney General Pam Bondi did make reference to a client list sitting on her desk in February.

Numerous legal experts, including Mediaite founder Dan Abrams, have argued that there is no actual list that critics are calling for, but rather numerous documents that could include names, but not necessarily of anyone guilty of crimes.

Abrams and others have noted that numerous Epstein documents have already been released to the public through the trial of Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s longtime associate who is now serving 20 years for sex trafficking. Those documents included some flight logs for Epstein’s private plane. Some Epstein documents were also unsealed in 2024.

Following Epstein’s death, a painting hanging at his New York residence of Clinton in a dress made major waves in media, first being revealed by Daily Mail.

The Wall Street Journal also dedicated a new report to letters similar to Trump’s written to Epstein, including one from Clinton.

“My thing is this, I don’t care who is on the list. Everybody gotta go. Burn it all down. It’s as simple as that. Mutually assured destruction. Whoever is on that list needs to go. Nobody needs to be protecting pedophiles. I don’t care what party they are,” Charlamagne said.

Morgyn Wood pushed back on Charlamagne’s argument, saying that if Clinton were currently president he’d likely be facing much more “scrutiny” over his long relationship with Epstein.

“No, he wouldn’t because liberal media wouldn’t push the issue,” shot back Charlamagne.
