Pat McAfee Catches NBA Insider Shams Charania Off Guard With Question About Long-Rumored Dating Situation
Pat McAfee on Friday completely blindsided NBA insider Shams Charania when he asked the reporter if he’s dating FanDuel TV host Kay Adams.
For over a year, the internet has suspected the two were involved due to a number of interactions they’ve had on camera. The playful exchanges have been interpreted as the two of them flirting with one another.

That speculation only intensified when Charania surprised Adams on air with a pair of shoes for Valentine’s Day. The gift came days after the two attended Super Bowl LVIII together.

Charania appeared on The Pat McAfee Show on Friday to talk about the latest happenings in the NBA season. In the middle of the basketball discussion, McAfee addressed the elephant in the room.
“Ok, and are you and Kay Adams dating?” McAfee suddenly asked. “I saw you sent her something for Valentine’s Day.”
Noticeably flustered, Charania deflected the question.
“That’s a great colleague of mine,” Charania said. “I think she’s amazing. You got to know her a little bit, too. I think she’s amazing. I enjoy going on her show. Obviously, she has, to me — like with you, similarly — you make me feel comfortable when I’m on her show. She makes me feel very comfortable.”
McAfee then decided to interject.
“Oh, you’re comfortable around each other,” McAfee said. “That’s a great start.”
When McAfee tried to confirm the two were dating, Charania denied it in a way that will surely do the exact opposite of quieting the rumors.
“I wouldn’t classify myself as anything,” Charania said.
