Pat McAfee Trolls Bill Simmons for Low Number of Buys on Super Bowl Promo Bet: ‘Keep Running Your Mouth, Bill’

Pat McAfee took a direct shot at Bill Simmons for the relatively low number of buys he got from a Super Bowl promotional bet the day before.

On Monday’s episode of The Pat McAfee Show, McAfee mentioned a promo parlay that FanDuel had for the big game. He then mentioned Simmons having a similar promo, which he claimed attracted a much smaller crowd.

“I think one of their parlays on FanDuel had 60,000 people riding alongside of it,” McAfee said. “I think Bill Simmons — who has it all figured out — I think he had like 8,000 people riding alongside of him.”

Then, McAfee sarcastically praised Simmons while touting the numbers he pulled on his own promo bet.

“That’s a huge number that did not hot,” McAfee said. “That’s really big. Really good, Bill. You still have it. I think we had 250,000 people or something like that. Keep running your mouth, Bill. Keep running your mouth.”

As McAfee hinted with his final words, the jab at Simmons was a response to something he said in the past. Simmons has taken his own shots at McAfee before, and recently mocked McAfee’s show when he did an impression of the former NFL punter.
