SHOCK VIDEO: NASCAR’s Connor Zilisch Injured in Painful Fall as He Celebrated Victory

Racer Connor Zilisch’s NASCAR Xfinity Series season victory celebration ended in a trip to the hospital after a dramatic fall from the roof of his car.

Fresh from claiming his series-leading sixth win of the year at Watkins Glen International, the 19-year-old climbed atop the roof of his No. 88 Chevrolet in victory lane.

But the celebration turned to calamity when his left foot snagged in the driver’s side window netting, sending him tumbling onto the asphalt.

The JR Motorsports driver, backed by Dale Earnhardt Jr., was rushed from the track’s medical center to a nearby hospital, where scans confirmed a broken collarbone but no head injury, according to the Associated Press.

“Thank you everybody for reaching out today,” Zilisch posted later on X. “I’m out of the hospital and getting better already. Thankful for all the medics for quick attention and grateful it wasn’t any worse.”

The fall capped a drama-filled afternoon on the track. Starting from pole, Zilisch collided with teammate Shane van Gisbergen while dueling for the lead on Lap 65. Bumped down to fifth in the restart, he fought his way back, leading the final four laps.

Crew chief Mardy Lindley hailed his driver’s grit: “He did such a great job of getting back through the field and getting the lead. Praying for Connor right now that he’s OK.”

Zilisch was due to race in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series event, but his participation now looks doubtful.
