Tiger Woods Announces Discharge From Hospital After Major Car Crash: ‘So Grateful for the Support and Encouragement’

Golf legend Tiger Woods announced his release from the hospital after last month’s devastating car crash that left him with multiple injuries.
On Tuesday, Woods put out a statement saying he’s recovering at home in Florida. He also offered his thanks to the medical team that attended to him in California.
“I am so grateful for the support and encouragement that I have received over the past few weeks,” said Woods. “I will be recovering at home and working on getting stronger every day.”

Woods was recovering from surgery on his back before the car crash, and the incident left him with a number of significant injuries — including compound fractures in his right leg. It is currently unknown when he’ll return to the links.
