WATCH: Woman Gets Violently Knocked to the Ground as Unruly Fans Brawl at the Peach Bowl

Woman gets knocked down during Peach Bowl brawl

While Michigan State was beating Pitt on the field at the Peach Bowl, things turned ugly for fans along the concourse as they brawled and caused an unsuspecting woman to get mercilessly knocked to the ground.

It’s unclear what started the melee at Georgia’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, but in the video, a Pitt fan takes the first swipe, hitting a person in a dark shirt with an open fist. A woman and another man were intent on preventing the fight from going any further, but the two scuffling fans were relentless.

The man in the darker shirt walks away before strutting back and missing the Pitt fan with a quick right jab. The Pitt fan quickly swings back and viciously knocked the woman who tried to play peacemaker to the ground.

“She got hurt, it’s not worth it!” one man said, pleading with the Pitt fan to calm down as others ran over and tended to the woman on the ground.

“Look at this, look what you did, look what you did!” another man yelled at the Pitt fan.

But they weren’t finished. The unidentified fan in the dark shirt came back for more, and the two wrestled each other to the ground almost on top of the injured woman.

A violent scene unfolded as people were laying on the ground while fans were throwing punches as others screamed for help from security. The fight went on for more than two minutes without any stadium staff or police getting involved.

Security and police eventually staggered to the scene and assisted in keeping the two fighting men separated. The woman who was knocked to the ground sat up and did not appear to be severely injured, but remained on the floor with her legs crossed.

On the field, the Pitt Panthers suffered an epic collapse, losing the Peach Bowl by a score of 31-21 after allowing Michigan State to score three fourth quarter touchdowns.
