WNBA Players Stunned By Extremely Personal Conversation After Reporter Forgets to Mute Zoom Call

Members of the Chicago Sky were shocked to hear way too much about a reporter’s life when they forgot to mute their microphone during a press conference.

After Sunday’s 84-71 loss to the Seattle Storm, several Sky players — as well as coach Teresa Weatherspoon — fielded questions from the media. As one reporter asked a question over the video call, they were interrupted by a female voice talking over them. That voice could be heard saying, “Ever going to have an intimate relationship.”

Weatherspoon and her players paused for a moment. While guard Marina Mabrey tilted her head in confusion, forward Angel Reese interjected to tell the reporter asking the question that she was unable to hear her.

Then, a man suddenly said, “That’s an uncomfortable topic,” prompting Reese to say, “Excuse me?”

After another few seconds of everyone talking over one another, the man then said, “I never had an interest in being intimate with anyone.”

Mabrey raised her eyebrows before laughing and saying, “I told you they were being weird!” to someone out of frame. Weatherspoon tilted her head, and Reese covered her mouth in disbelief.”

Everyone on the call then came to the realization that someone mistakenly left their mic on. After the entire call was muted for several seconds, the first reporter was finally able to ask their question.
