‘This Is SO Stupid!’ Fox News Host Joey Jones Mocks Dems for Anger Over White House Demolition, Says ‘Nobody’ Cares About East Wing

Fox News’ Joey Jones skewered Democrats who are upset about President Donald Trump knocking down the East Wing of the White House to make room for a new $300 million ballroom, saying most Americans don’t even think about the now-demolished section when they picture the historic building.

Jones vented about the reaction to Trump’s ballroom on The Big Weekend Show on Saturday afternoon.

“This is so stupid,” Jones started off by saying.

He then explained, in his estimation, that the “majority of people” think about the front-facing “center section” of the White House, which “goes on currency” and has been commemorated in several other ways. The East Wing, he said, has not received anywhere near the same amount of love until this past week, when liberals were suddenly upset about it being torn down.

“Nobody cares about a section of the White House that wouldn’t matter to anyone anyway if it weren’t a TV show called ‘The West Wing,’ which draws in the question, ‘What’s the East Wing?’ I mean, people do not care about this,” Jones said.

That comment drew a laugh from co-host Tomi Lahren.

“Nobody concerned about their life in politics cares about what that looks like!” Jones continued.

The Fox News chyron read “Ballroom Derangement Syndrome” — a play on Trump Derangement Syndrome — as Jones went off.

He then called out Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) as one Dem in particular who ridiculed Trump’s new ballroom. Jones said that is rich, considering Warren was not too upset when statues of Thomas Jefferson and other Founding Fathers were torn down a few years ago.

The Fox News segment comes after Trump’s new ballroom was thoroughly covered by the media this week.

Trump has championed the fact that taxpayers are not paying for a dime of the ballroom; instead it is being funded by private donors and donations from companies like Apple and Amazon.

The president also joked that the “beautiful sound of construction” being done on the new ballroom “reminded me of money” — even if it was money being spent.

“Ooh, that’s music to my ears. I love that sound,” Trump said on Tuesday at the White House, while holding his hand up to his right ear.

Not every American has been thrilled with Trump’s revamp, though. Rivals like Hillary Clinton and California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) have complained about the ballroom, with Clinton saying on Tuesday that Trump was “destroying” the White House.
