After Fox Biz Correspondent Criticizes Trump’s Speech, Neil Cavuto Jokes: ‘Why Are You Such a Hater?’

As Neil Cavuto reviewed President Trump’s speech before GOP lawmakers in West Virginia today, he joked around a bit with Charles Gasparino after the Fox Business correspondent criticized parts of the address.

Trump spoke before the Congressional GOP’s retreat, where he touted his accomplishments — between slams against Democrats and basking in the adulation of his party’s lawmakers. Cavuto noted that Trump outlined his future plans and pumped up his allies today, though Gasparino had a hard time understanding the point of the speech.

“I think a real bipartisan challenge would have been much more appeasement, not the stuff that he laid out,” Gasparino said. “It was a rambling speech. It had almost no real focus…”

“There were achievements,” Cavuto interjected, before tossing out a little quip. “Why are you such a hater?

Gasparino explained that Trump has to do better at advancing his agenda, and he debated Cavuto and Dierdre Bolton about his concerns for whether this is the president’s high-water mark.
