Al Sharpton: Bill Clinton ‘Lecturing’ Black Lives Matter Protesters Was ‘Inappropriate’

SharptonMSNBC host and civil rights leader Al Sharpton criticized former president Bill Clinton‘s handling of Black Lives Matter protesters Thursday, saying that Clinton’s combative and argumentative tone was inappropriate.

Bernie Sanders says Bill Clinton owes an apology…” MSNBC’s Steve Kornacki noted. “Do you agree with that?”

“I think that the way that President Clinton responded in terms of his kind of reprimand and lecturing was inappropriate,” Sharpton responded.

The two MSNBC hosts criticized Clinton’s statement Friday that he wanted to “almost” apologize. “I don’t know what he means by ‘almost’ apologize,” Sharpton said.

“It’s a classic Clintonian in-between,” Kornacki said.
