Alan Dershowitz on Sony Hack: It’s ‘Pearl Harbor on the First Amendment’

Alan Dershowitz used some particularly strong language on CNN tonight to talk about the Sony hacking, believed to have originated in North Korea, calling it “Pearl Harbor on the First Amendment.”

He told Don Lemon that North Korea has “declared war on our First Amendment” and the U.S. has to respond quickly. He lamented how Sony completely capitulated instead of, say, making the movie free online or at least available on demand.

Jeffrey Toobin, meanwhile, said this sets a very dangerous precedent, that a regime like North Korea can stop a movie, maybe a newspaper or a cable news network next, that produces content that they have an objection to.
