Anjem Choudary Asks NewsmaxTV Host ‘Are You Jewish?’ in Heated Confrontation

British Muslim cleric Anjem Choudary continued his post-Charlie Hebdo media tour on Thursday afternoon, appearing on NewsmaxTV Steve Malzberg Show for a heated confrontation that naturally involved the pair’s religious views.

In the wake of a terrorist attack on the French satirical magazine that left 12 dead in Paris, Choudary has made the rounds to proclaim that Hebdo was in the wrong for ever publishing cartoons that caricaturized the Muslim prophet Muhammed. He returned to Fox News on Thursday to reiterate such claims and get into a shoutfest (what else?) with Sean Hannity.

At the outset of their conversation, Malzberg confronted Choudary on why he asked NewsmaxTV producers whether the host was Jewish.

“It just makes me understand the reality of the people I’m dealing with,” the cleric told Malzberg.

When the host asserted that he is openly Jewish and an outspoken supporter of Israel and “Christians around the world being slaughtered by Muslims,” well… as you can imagine, the conversation became much more shout-y.

At one point, Choudary said the Paris massacre was an “inevitable” response to the cartoons. Asked why it’s “only Islam” that reacts violently against mockery, Choudary stymied a bit, causing some more shouting and an unceremonious end to the segment.
