A gunman opened fire at an outdoor concert at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas late Sunday night, leaving at least 50 people dead and more than 400 injured, according to police.
Shooting suspect Stephen Paddock, 64, shot down from his hotel room at a large crowd of concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest festival at around 10 p.m., during a performance by country musician Jason Aldean.
A SWAT team quickly arrived at the scene and searched the hotel, before finding the gunman dead in a room. Police believe he killed himself after the shooting. He was identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, according to NBC News.
Police are still searching for Marilou Danley, a woman authorities said may have been Paddock’s companion. They are also searching for two cars registered to Paddock, a Hyundai Tucson and Chrysler Pacifica.
