Barbara Walters Falls, Cuts Forehead And Is Hospitalized
Barbara Walters has been hospitalized following a fall Saturday night. The journalist and host of The View was at the British Ambassador’s residence when she fell on a stair and cut her forehead.
ABC News’ Jeffrey Schneider told POLITICO, “Out of an abundance of caution, she went to the hospital to have her cut tended to, have a full examination and remains there for observation.”
“Barbara is alert (and telling everyone what to do), which we all take as a very positive sign,” he added.
Walters, 83, was in D.C. for President Obama’s second inauguration. She was slated to join ABC News’ coverage of the events but will not be on air Monday.
