Ben Carson: #BlackLivesMatter Needs to Stop the ‘Bullying’

carsonBen Carson came today to Ferguson with a message of unity. He said that respect and compassion is of paramount importance in the relationship between black communities and the police, and argued against viewing people through the prism of race.

Following his public remarks, Carson sat down with CBS News’ Major Garrett and told him that protesters need to accept that Michael Brown was a “bad actor,” just as the other side needs to accept that there are serious policing problems.

On #BlackLivesMatter in particular, Carson lamented how rather than engaging in dialogue, they’re “bullying” people. He said, “I never liked the idea of bullying on behalf of anybody.”
